There are places in the world where growing up means looking at the horizon and asking what’s on the other side. The Azores is one of those places.
Rui Carreiro was born and raised on these volcanic islands lost in the Atlantic, where the sea is not a metaphor — it is everyday reality. Traveling, for those born on an island, is not a luxury: it is a necessity. And it was this need that shaped everything that would follow.
At 39 years old, after a decade working behind the scenes in the travel industry — promoting destinations, negotiating rates, understanding how the market really works — Rui made a decision: share what he knows with everyone.
